By car

Full Moon Resort is located at 12 Valley View Road, Big Indian, NY 12410.

Plug that into your GPS before you leave.

You'll lose cell service about 20 to 30 minutes from the resort, so download your directions offline or screenshot them ahead of time.

Don't rely on service once you're in the mountains.

What to Do

We've spent a lot of weekends wandering around this part of the Catskills. Here's what we'd tell you to do if you have extra time before or after the celebration.

Giant Ledge Trailhead

One of the most rewarding hikes in the Catskills, Giant Ledge offers sweeping ridge views for a relatively modest effort. A great option if you want to shake off the wedding weekend.

Rail Explorers: Catskill Division

Pedal-powered rail bikes through the Catskill scenery. Quirky, fun, and genuinely beautiful in the fall foliage. Book ahead as spots fill up quickly.

Ashokan Rail Trail

An 11-mile rail trail along the Ashokan Reservoir with stunning mountain views. Flat and accessible, with three trailheads to choose from along Route 28.

Belleayre Mountain

With the wedding in November, Belleayre may already be open for early ski season. Worth checking conditions if you're a skier or rider looking to sneak in a run.

Emerson Resort & World's Largest Kaleidoscope

Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like. A full resort and spa in Mt. Tremper that also happens to house the world's largest kaleidoscope. Absolutely worth a stop.

Hanah Mountain Resort & Country Club

An 18-hole golf course set in the Catskill Mountains in Margaretville. A solid option for anyone looking to get a round in before or after the festivities.

Woodstock Brewing

A laid-back craft brewery in Phoenicia with solid rotating taps and a casual vibe. A natural stop on any Catskills itinerary.

West Kill Brewing

A farm brewery tucked deep in the West Kill valley. Rustic, remote, and genuinely great beer. The drive out there is half the experience.

Woodstock, NY

The town itself is worth a wander. Galleries, vintage shops, great food, and enough character to fill an afternoon. Only about 20 minutes from the resort.
